I've always wanted to make a mate themed perfume, and just when I was scraping for ideas, it hit me, why not make something that's from the Asian culture (jasmine, florals) with a spark of mate absolute? 

Argentina is a country that suffers from the Conquistador of Spain. There are always pros and cons when someone invades and tries to make a place more civilized. Look at Japan, China, and other countries. However, the government of Spain saw mate as a poisonous drink that could potentially ruin their colonization, so they prohibited the use of mate. As you can imagine, if the law forbids us to drink coffee or tea, people would go nuts, right?

I find a very interesting piece on the internet -

The first Sommelier of mate from Argentina Valeria Trapaga has said, “ frente al mate somos todos iguales”. Translates to, “ We are all equal before mate.”
