Backstory:

I've always been fascinated by old things, especially the dry wood smell in Europe. Every time I enter a building I get a whiff of this (not the polished buildings of course). Here we are very used to the old wood smell that's humid, it's a complete different scenario. The humidity I'm used to is also super moldy that you wonder when the mushrooms would pop out from the corner of your room.

I was lucky enough to have spent quite some time in the former East Germany area, and it's such a complete different place compare to other areas where you could feel the liveliness. Although East Germany no longer exists, but every where you go and see in areas of the city you can't help but to wonder how it was in the past...

Scents:

Picture walking into an old building that survived World War II and the fall of the Berlin Wall, stepping onto the cranky wooden stairs. This old building is located in the days of East Germany. It has many history to tell.

The initial impression is very upfront, you won't miss the pungent dry wood that strongly resembles nothing but "Old", used, dusty furniture that only appears in either an abandon building, or an antique museum. When this initial impression settles down, the bitter sweet liquor gradually emerges, it's like someone accidentally spilled a glass of hard liquor on an old sofa, and the smell from the stains soaked into the leather...

More and more greens appear in the mid, it's green but also piney, it's winter, it's cold, but also a bit warm because of the smokey notes introduced in the base. The smoke with woods create a semi fireplace warmth in the freezing hungry days of war set in Berlin. At the very last stage of Ostalgie, wearable animal scents are also captured here.

This scent is direct, and unapologetic. It speaks of decay.

背景故事：

我一直對老舊事物充滿興趣，尤其是歐洲乾燥木頭的氣味。每次走入一棟有年紀的建築時，我總能嗅到這種氣味。在台灣的我們已經習慣了吸附著潮氣的舊木頭，發霉到房間角落可能冒出蘑菇的濕度，但在德國卻會有截然不同的情形。

我有幸在前東德地區待了相當長的一段時間，那裡與德國的其他地方截然不同，四處散佈著勃勃的生機。雖然東德已不復存在，但無論你走到哪裡，在城市的巷弄轉角，你總忍不住想象眼前的往日時光。

氣味描述：

請你想像走進一棟倖存於二戰和柏林牆倒塌的舊建築，踏上吱嘎作響的木製樓梯。作為東德時期的見證者，這裡蘊藏了無數的歷史秘辛。

起初的印象非常明確，刺鼻的乾燥木頭氣味會直接鑽入鼻腔，強烈地讓人聯想到陳舊、飽經風霜與布滿灰塵的傢俱，常出現在廢棄老屋或古董博物館。當這種初步印象逐漸平息，苦甜的酒香慢慢浮現，像是有人不小心將一杯烈酒灑在舊沙發上，濃烈的酒氣滲入了老舊的皮革……

隨著香氣的發展，更多的綠色氣息出現，是帶有松木香氣的綠意。凜冬已至，但基調中的煙熏感捲攜著絲絲溫暖。煙與木材的混合描繪了飢寒交迫的戰爭歲月，幾乎燃盡的壁爐還透著淡淡的暖意。來到尾聲時，宜穿的動物氣味流露出來。

這款香水直截了當地講述著一個關於戰爭與衰敗的掙扎故事。
